“Our stay at The Roxbury was an absolute delight. Greg and Joe, our gracious hosts, have created a truly unique destination in the Catskills. Their attention to detail makes each room an unforgettable experience and we are definitely looking forward to our return visit. From the personalized greeting we received on arrival to the suggestions that we received on where to eat and what to do, the staff at The Roxbury attended to all of our needs and made us feel welcomed and at home. We have never been to such a unique and creatively inspired (and inspiring) hotel before and with the Catskills as a backdrop, it is a real gem and cannot be missed!”

“Pretty much everything. As soon as I arrived, Shannon made me feel like I was walking into my own parent's house. She could not have been more helpful or welcoming. What a first impression! Just a totally cool hotel. I liked how, despite the far-out themes of the rooms, the place still retained a bit of it's original motel charm. The themes themselves were well varied and cleverly done, making them feel more creative and inspired than store-bought.Most importantly, with every aspect of our stay, we could tell that ownership's number one priority was the happiness and satisfaction of their guests. Mission accomplished. I will definitely be back. It's a great little getaway for New Yorkers. There are a ton of activities in the summer and skiiing in the winter but honestly, we enjoyed just relaxing, frolicking in the snow, and taking in the gorgeous and clear mountain views. Thanks for having us!”

“EVERYTHING. My husband and I decided to take a "mini-moon" after our wedding and take a "big-trip" honeymoon sometime later this year. We decided to do something more "low-key" after the wedding so that we could ACTUALLY relax and decide what to do on a day-to-day basis. In looking at The Roxbury, we were intrigued by the traditional/modern dichotomy The Roxbury exudes. The owners maintained the traditional look of the establishment's exterior (accented with a few buckets of bright, lime-green paint!), while transforming each room into something modern, unique, and... fun! We stayed in "Fred's Lair," inspired by the Flintstones television show. It was, in a word, incredible!However, I digress. As admirable of a job they did with the aesthetics of the place, what cemented their "phenomenal" status was all of the smaller things-- the freshly cut flowers they placed randomly throughout the guests' lodgings and the public areas; the free breakfast buffet including all the coffee, tea, cucumber water (!), granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, etc.. etc. you could want, much of it organic; the collection of 400 movies you could take out to watch during your stay; or, the Godiva chocolates laid on on your nightstand with a quote from Shakespeare about sleeping well. During our stay at the Roxbury, we were able to have a relaxed, yet exciting time. In our room, we felt like a couple of kids spending a few days in a dream world. We got out and enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the Catskill Mountains. And we dined on some of the most fabulous food either of us have ever had, thanks to a recommendation by the owners. Oh, did I mention, they gave us a complimentary bottle of Rose on ice, imported from Argentina, as a honeymoon gift, and a welcome card congratulating us on our marriage.In conclusion, we will certainly visit again, and have already recommended The Roxbury as the perfect weekend getaway to most of our friends and family. A++!”
